LANCASTER — The Lancaster Sheriff’s Station will host its third annual Classic Car/Motorcycle Show and Open House from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 19, on Lancaster Boulevard between the station on Sierra Highway and Gadsden Avenue, Lancaster. The event’s main stage will be set up on Elm Avenue, with food trucks and Boulevard businesses open throughout.
Vehicle line-up begins at 7:30 a.m. on Elm Avenue, north of Lancaster Boulevard. Show vehicles will park down the middle of Lancaster Boulevard facing both north and south, with the earliest arrivals parked nearest the stage; spots are assigned strictly in arrival order, and organizers say they will not reserve spaces for friends or clubs arriving separately.
Registration for car and motorcycle show entrants is $39.19 online, including fee, with pre-registration closing at 2 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 18. Drive-up registration opens at 7:30 a.m. the day of the event and costs $40 for cars and $30 for motorcycles. Spectator admission is free.
Entrants must check in at the registration booth near the stage to collect an entry placard, which must be visibly displayed in the windshield; vehicles without one will not be judged.
Fifteen awards will be presented at an awards ceremony beginning at 1:15 p.m. on the Elm Avenue stage, including Best of Show, Antique, Classic, Corvette, Lowrider, Modified Car, Modified Truck, Muscle Car, Rat Rod, Stock/Original Car, Stock/Original Truck, Street Rod, Tri-Five, Volkswagen and Motorcycle.
Beyond the car show, the open house includes LASD vehicles and equipment on display, guided tours of Lancaster Station at 10 a.m., 11 a.m., noon and 1 p.m., a family fun zone with a dunk tank and jump house, live music and guest speakers on the main stage, food and drink vendors, and shaded cooling stations.
Free street parking is available near the event; there is no dedicated parking lot. Umbrellas and canopies are permitted along the north and south curblines only and must be secured against wind. Alcohol, open flames and unauthorized sales are prohibited. Proceeds from registration and raffle sales benefit Special Olympics Southern California and the Law Enforcement Torch Run.
